More sustainable shirt packaging at Olymp from autumn 2022.

As a globally active family business, Olymp Bezner KG in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) also assumes global responsibility for people, the environment, climate and society.

By 2025, all of the fashion supplier’s products are to meet the ambitious “Green Choice” criteria and be made as environmentally friendly as possible and from more sustainable raw materials. Now, Olymp is also reducing the amount of materials used in product packaging and only relies on recyclable materials that have been predominantly recycled and are recyclable and reusable.

“In an extensive development phase, we devoted ourselves intensively to the complex issue of combining the functional requirements of packaging with the growing ecological demands in society,” explains Mark Bezner, managing partner of Olymp Bezner KG. With this in mind, the clothing specialist has now developed a significantly more environmentally friendly shirt packaging that simultaneously fulfils all the indispensable protective functions as well as meeting the high demands of an appealing product presentation. In this way, the fashion supplier will make a sustainable contribution to resource conservation and environmental protection in the future.

With its commitment to packaging optimisation, Olymp is consistently pursuing its path as a responsible family business. By 2025, the company has set itself the goal of having its entire range of shirts, knitwear and accessories bear the “Green Choice” sustainability label, which confirms the use of more sustainable materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing.

For the autumn 2022 collection, 57 percent of the range already meets the “Green Choice” requirements. By using more environmentally friendly packaging, Olymp is raising its standards for a more sustainable product and making an important contribution to closing the loop and conserving valuable resources and the climate.

Olymp Bezner KG from Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart is the market leader of men’s shirts in Germany. In addition, the high-quality clothing range is sold in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Olymp’s sustainability programme is based on three strong pillars and focuses on the entire business activity: from the increasing use of sustainable raw materials to the implementation of social and environmental standards along the supply chain to the climate-neutral company headquarters. To this end, the product specialist is actively involved in numerous initiatives, associations and organisations that advocate a more sustainable textile economy.
